I've never played a Civ game in my life and i dont know what its like. Is it a good game? I have played age of the empires however and i think its awesome, Is Civ as good as Age of the empires or is it different?

A lot of people compare Age of Empires against Civ actually, and from what I;ve seen they have a hard time deciding whats better, so I'll say that it's just as good as that. Personally, I've never played AoE, so wouldn't know, but for any strategy fan, this really is the game of choice

Personally, I'm loving this game, in fact, I spent all of sunday playing this game instead of Metal Gear Solid 4... and that says something.

The slogan of the series is 'Just one more turn', and this game definitely lives up to it.

AOE is a RTS and Civ is Turned Based, how can they be compared?

Very easily since they're both at the core Strategy games.

Its not bad.. I downloaded a demo of this from live last night and briefly played it..

All games are different all the time. Even Halo is quite different to Killzone, yet they're both compared because they're put into the same category, and likewise with both being strategy games, they're both compared.

And don't tell me, it's others that compare them

There's really no comparing them accurately. AoE is spur-of-the-moment reacting and formulating, and requires much less brain usage, as the units basically maintain themselves and the environment around them, Civ craves your attention.

It's a shame you can't play as portugal.
