I really need help with this:

I'm playing Assault on Dark Athena and i'm stuck at the part when Revas sends a mech my way, the inventory thing says i need to take it to the waste disposal room?

Whenever i get to the point where it comes out it always guns me down and i don't exactly know where i'm supposed to go?

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.

As far as I remember you're in a linear corridor so just run away from the mech until you get to the room with the huge trapdoor in the middle and hide behind a pillar. Wait for him to walk over the trapdoor,rush out and hit the button.
