Manager's View
So, another season has come and and gone. We finished 17th, the position we were in half-way through. I am dissapointed, i have to admit it. Our biggest downfall this season, is concentration. We have conceded so many goals in the last 15 or so minutes of a game, and it has cost us victories and draws. If we concentrated just a little bit extra, i have no doubt we would have finished mid-table, but we didn't so now we have to look forward to next season. We have brought in 65 new players and Ulises [De La Cruz] may continue his spell here with us. So we have reason to be cheerful, in the second half of the season, we were scoring more, Donovan, Diego and De Lucas all scoring reguarly. Talking of Diego, he will be the captain next season, such to the extent of his performances, very impressed. So we have to look on, and i want to bring in a Goalkeeper, Defenders, Wingers and another Striker, if we want to make a push next season. - Danijel Danskyi
Transfer Rumours
With the season over, and changes needed will Danijel Danskyi dip into the transfer market and make some more signings?
Reading Full-Back, Ulises De La Cruz, looks likely to join Dinamo Zagreb on permanent terms this summer, as Reading have told the Ecuadorian he has no future at the Madejski Stadium.
Experienced Midfielder Ousmane Dabo may join the club this summer after being released by Lazio. The 30-year-old who turns 31 in a months time would be an adeqayte addition to Danskyi's squad and put up a fight to last season mainstays in the team Federico Dodo and Ciaran Stein as the two impressed thouroughly and racked up an astonishing 49 appearances together.
Moroccan Midfielder Mounir Diane could move to the Maksimir this Summer aswell. The 25-year-old who has been released from French club RC Lens, after an unsuccessful loan spell at Ligue 2 side Bastia is looking for a fresh start. Diane would add some much needed competition to Diego, Enrique De Lucas and Vikash Dhorasoo's attacking Midfield positions since they;ve impressed since joining in the Winter.
Former AS Nancy Winger Emmanuel Duchemin looks set to join Dinamo this summer. The 28-year-old recently released from his contract at Nancy could move to the Maksimir if Dinamo and Duchemin can come to an agreement on personel terms.

Dinamo Zagreb 2007 | Summer Transfer Window
Transfer Report
With improvements needed at the Maksimir Stadium, Manager Danijel Danskyi splashed the chas this summer, and added a whole host of new names to his squad.
First in through the doors of the Maksimir was Moroccan Midfielder Mounir Diane. The 25-year-old joins Dinamo after having his contract terminated at RC Lens as the French side aimed to cut their wage budget. Diane signs a 4-year-deal at the club and has his eyes set on 'Great Things'.
The second name in the door was former Inter Milan, Monaco and Rennes Midfielder Ousmane Dabo. The 30-year-old like Diane had been released from his contract this Summer, as Lazio aimed to clear out their squad and bring in a new breed of players after a dissapointing season. Dabo who formerly played in England for Manchester City has 3 caps for France and brings in some much needed experience into the squad aswell as a Holding Midfield role. Dabo signs a 2-year-deal.
The next name to join Dinamo this Summer French Winger, Emmanuel Duchemin. The 28-year-old was released from his contract with AS-Nancy, the club he had been with since 2003, and with his arrival could promt manager Dainjel Danskyi to bring back the old 4-4-2 formation with 2 Wingers, instead of the current 4-2-3-1 formation recently depolyed. Duchemin signs 4-year-a deal at the club.
Dutch Winger Daniël De Ridder also joined the Dinamo ranks this Summer after a £2m switch which saw Henkten Van Den Berg head the other way. De Ridder is one of Europe's top young prospects and the former Celta Vigo and Ajax man took his opportunity to leave St. Andrews after a season where he couldn't break into alex McGleish's plans. De Ridder signs a 4-year-deal with Dinamo.
Willem II Striker, Frank Demouge joins Dinamo this Summer. The Dutchman who has impressed for Willem II in the 2007 Season, had a shock phone call from agent Dimitri Vengussel informing Demouge of Dinamo's interest. Demouge said to Dutch News Reporters that he was 'Very, Very Shocked' but 'Delighted' at the same time. As part of the deal, Norweigen Forward Jan-Dahli Hamsun leave Dinamo and joins Willem II, who also pocket £100,000. Demouge signs a 2-year-deal with Dinamo.
Ivroy Coast Full-Back Guy Demel is one of the shock signings of the season. The former SV Hamburg man made a shock move to Croatia to join Dinamo after a scintilating season with Hamburg saw him linked with top Europeans clubs such as Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Lyon. Demel said this on joining Dinamo - 'Why did i chose Dinamo over the others? I'll tell you. I wanted first team football, but also wanted a change from Germany. I had been in Germany for two years, and had not properly settled, and to join Dinamo was a shock for me aswell as everybody else. I see Dinamo as a isde who are going places, places i want to go.' Demel signs a 4-year-deal at the club, with Hamburg being payed a £3.4m fee for the Ivorian.
The final name through the door at the Maksimir this Summer is 36-year-old veteran 'keeper Geert De Vlieger. The former Belgian International, joins Dinamo after the clause in his contract with Zulte Waregem stated that if an offer of £3m or more is offered, he can leave the club without consequences, a statement that was matched by Dinamo. De Vlieger, who brings an uncanny wealth of experience to Dinamo, links up with former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo, with himself and Dabo both being touted as possible Vice-Captains in the absence of newly appointed Captain, Brazilian star Diego. De Vlieger signs a 1-year-deal with Dinamo.
Along with numerous ins at the Maksimir, they're were also several outs this summer. One of whom was Goalkeeper Arnold Zamenhof, the Austrian had to play third choice 'keeper last year, and only played 5 times all season, and Dinamo saw it only fair to release Zamenhof from his contract.
Along with Zamenhof, French Winger Davide Espimas also departed this Summer. The Midfielder was the subject of offers from Espanyol, Manchester City and Portsmouth, before eventually being sold to Portsmouth for a fee of £2.3m
Along with Dinamo's former Right Winger, they also lost they're Left Winger this Summer too as Hernandez Pablo Ximelez said goodbye to the Croatian side after an offer from English side Tottenham Hotspur. The £2.4m offer was too good for Dinamo and Ximelez to turn down.
Along with one Spaniard, a second left the Maksimir as the ever impressive Quique Gutierrez attracted several offers. The Centre Forward made a massive £5m switch to Spain and joined Espanyol after Dinamo, Gutierrez and Espanyol all came to an aggreement.
Ecuadorian Loanee Ulises De La Cruz, did not make a permanent move to the Croatian club after Reading Full-Back and First teamer, Graeme Murty had a poor season last season, and looks to have opened the door for De La Cruz to regain a stating berth.
Henkten Van Den Berg and Jan-Dahli Hamsun were both used as makeweights this Summer and left Croatia to join Birmingham City and Willem II repsectively.

Keep it up you two, both looking great
Jamus - unlucky finishing 4th but nice one on winning the D2 cup!
JM - had De Riddler in a Brimingham ML however I prefered Seb Larsson over him, I found that while Larsson was consistent De Riddler would have one great game but be non_existent (not a reference to zacks playing ability ) for the next three+.

Lazio Meet ExpectationsA late surge of 4 wins in a row in the final fixtures propelled Lazio up to a 7th place finish in the league meeting expectations of a top half finish, relieving the pressure of current manager Gary Lineker.
Key to their success this campaign has been the goals of striker come winger come attacking midfielder LuaLua who was the leagues top scorer with 11 goals. His versatility has seen him play in all midfield positions with exception to defensive midfield where promising ex-liverpool star Lucas has cemented his place.
Lazio were out of the cup in the second round, having had a by in the first, where they lost out to Internacional. The winners of the cup coming as FC Basel who beat Celtic 11-10 in penalties after no goals during normal and extra time.

Lineker Talk
We got into the top half by the skin of our teeth, probably saving my job, and I have now gone to strengthen the back line with two Italian centre backs while added depth in all areas with a striker, midfielder and a left back. Most of my big name targets still do not wish to play for a club in the second tier so my target this season is to get promoted.

You can still join but most people have now stopped playing PES 08 and have moved on into the PES 09 forum (click the link in my sig). You can choose whatever letter you want as in all honesty, this is a dead competition now. Good luck to you though and I'm sure if you keep us updated then at least a few people will read it!
