ive just got the ring of death, i feel like i wana cry.

does anyone know who you speak to to get it fixed?

I got something like this before, but it was just because my wires at the back of my Xbox weren't plugged in completely properly, after I fixed it, it was fine. I suggest you just re-wire your Xbox, take all wires out, put them back in, if you still have problems, I'm not sure really.

i'll try in a bit, its a gutter. i was playin this morn then turned it off to hav sum lunch and next thing it jus came up wiv 3 red lights.

its happened before when i had power cut but its always worked after.

i dont think it'll be the wires as i havent touched them in couple of days. do you ring microsoft for these things?

Yeah, I suggest you ring up Xbox because I know people who've had this problem and if it came down to it, Xbox had to give them a new console, but I heard the delivery takes ages too.

the weirdest thing was that i was on it earlier and i looked across me laptop screen and thought i saw the words 'ring of death', when i looked again i couldnt see where i had read it, then in a panic i looked at xbox but it was fine, until i turned it off. creepy.

That's a bit paranormal.

The same thing happened to my copy of Gears Of War, I was playing it, I turned my Xbox off because I was gonna go out and then I decided not to and turned it back on five minutes later, it didn't work. I looked at the disc and it had a huge snap on it.

jesus these xbox's are like monsters.

yeh literally the same, turned it off, turned it back on 45 mins later and those dreaded lights came up.

It was so annoying for me too because I was on my way towards getting 1000 Gamerscore points off of it, then when the new achievements came out, I got the game again and I don't care much for it anymore.

I hope that your Xbox gets sorted out ASAP.

Where did you get your 360 from ?

I got mine from Blockbusters, and I was able to return the 360 with the reciept and they gave us a new 360 straight away. It's not always as straight forward as that for others.

iv just filled in a form like thing on xbox site for it to be repaired. is that the right thing to do? do i have to send it to them or do they send something to me first?

I had the 3 rings of death on sunday night, you have to phone 0800 587 1102 but make sure you have your console serial number wrote down which I think is on the console itself on a sticker. The opening times are monday - friday 9am to 10pm, saturday 9am to 8pm and sundays 9am to 5pm. When you phone the person just asks for the console serial number and your address, and they say that you just need a box but not the 360 box and just to send off the console. They also say they'll send you stickers which take 3-5 working days which I was waitin for and the day after I phoned a ups van turned up and the person gives you the stickers and a receipt with a trackin number that you can track on the main ups website. They say it can take up to 15 working days before you get your console back which hopefully it wont be that long. Hope thats helped you and like me you get your console back soon and its as good as new

Am I the only person that's never had the Red Ring of Death? I ask a lot of people, they say they've had it. But, saying that, I don't really go on my Xbox 360 as much as I used to.

you dude you need to send your xbox to microsoft and they will fix it. phone them up it happened to me before and i didnt get it back for four weeks
