After trading in Fifa 07 for the newer version, I have to say I am quite disappointed. The positives are up to date strips (although a lot of International teams don't have official licences), more player animations, and the Football IQ quiz which is an easy way to get points. However - the negatives....Holland in the game!? Great! but all their players have made up names (I thought that was Pro Evo!); Old Trafford STILL hasn't got filled in upper corners; I have put the ball in the back of the net only for their keeper to have a goal kick!?; the Div 1,2,3 stadiums are too old fashioned - why not put a generic modern up to date all seater stadium in there instead? ... and worst of all - is it just my copy of the game, but whenever i play a game in rain i get horrible white glitches appear on the pitch wherever the ball bounces!? Awful. Did this game get tested? Has this happened to others?

Come on EA - this is a very poor update. Better next time....

about the rain and white glitches complaint..
if you look closely you would see that the ball makes a splash and also that it slows it down so IMO its more realistic...

Yeah FIFA games tend to be bad anyway. Just get Pro Ev, Its a far better football game and you can easily get an edited option file to make kits and everything else official.

Ok well I'm mixed between FIFA and PES2008 always have been, I preferred PES5 than FIFA 06 and PES6 to FIFA 07, yet i prefer FIFA O8 on 360 than PES2008 on it..
And without playing either on PSP having only got it a week ago, was wondering whether anyone here can give me a good comparison of the two.

to update squads u can on the EA website or do it urself. I have to agree the gameplay needs some work and besides that the comp is too predictable, if u just play world class u realise the comp always does the same thing. If u just tell ur strikers to stay up, you can use third man release and score!

fifa 08 was terrible imo. the graphics are fairly good for psp though.
