Audino is probably one of the most support-geared pokemon in existence. However, on the surface, it looks to be highly outclassed by both Chansey and Blissey as a defensive Wish passer and Cleric. It's weaker defenses and slightly more sparse movepool often make it an inferior choice, but why exactly use Audino?

Audino has a single thing that makes it unique: Regenerator. Regenerator is particularly useful on Audino as his high HP makes him an efficient Wish passer with a twist; he can heal himself while passing a large Wish to its recipient. This trait is entirely unique to Audino and make him a Wish passer that many fail to see his deceptive bulk. Audino also has cleric abilities as well, given that he often must come in to heal the team and switch out quickly, Regenerator often plays a role in this as well.

Toxic is self explanatory, and with Heal Bell, can enable Audino to beat several other defensive pokemon quite well. EVs and nature are geared towards giving maximum special bulk, as several physical pokemon in OU give Audino grief no matter what set it runs, such as Scizor, Conkeldurr, Lucario, and Metagross. This special bulk allows it to heal the team in front of pokemon such as defensive and scarf Politoed, most Nintetales, Vaporeon, Tentacruel, Jolteon and others. The best thing about Audino is that due to its offensive presence being so minimal, it is forced out quite regularly on the next switch, giving it the ability to Wish and then Regenerate health regularly. Protect eases prediction, stalls with Wish, and also scores Audino chances to spot a potentially threatening move to pass a Wish to an appropriate counter, while taking the hit and regenerating health while passing it.

This ties into the theme not as a revival of a previous threat, but as a potent support unit that is able to maintain the life of both itself and its team mates with efficiency. Pairing Audino with pokemon like Cofagrigus or Spiritomb is often a good idea to take down pokemon like Conkeldurr, Reuniclus, and Scizor. These pokemon also greatly appreciate Audino`s ability to pass wishes. Claydol also works well as bait for several pokemon that Audino can gleefully pass Wishes against, while also adding assurance against aforementioned threats. As a more offensive team mate, Golurk is a wise choice to protect against several fighting types like Terrakion.
