A lot of you have probably been wandering where I've been on the battling scene lately, and truth be told, I've found myself not having the interest and desire in it I once had. For me, it's gotten to be really stale as there seem to be so many teams that revolve around the same Pokemon and strategy time and time again. I nearly gave battling up when Gen V was first released due to the fact I felt that weather would cut down the diversity of teams a ton from Gen IV. At first, my predictions didn't come true and there was a fair amount of diversity, but now it's gotten to where most teams are either weather-based or revolve around Volt-Turn. For me, the fun in battling comes from facing different teams and seeing new strategies and that just isn't happening anymore. So, for now, I'm probably going to leave the battling scene until move tutors come back and hopefully shake things up a little bit(or if Smogon bans weather for some unseen reason) I'll still be around to help others since I do plan on following the metagame so I'll know when move tutors become available in Gen V. However, until that day comes, I don't see myself battling at all. Also, since I won't be battling any time soon, I won't be holding a Gym spot in the NL any longer. So, you're probably wondering why this was posted in Strat. At least you're not leaving neo altogether. Truth be told I hardly battle anymore either (although i never went too crazy about it either) and I am annoyed at how everyone and their mothers use the same 2 or 3 teams all the time, kinda sad and one of the main reason why I spend so much more time on anything but pokemon (if anything I kinda force myself cuz I have EoE to manage a bit).

I've only faced you twice, and it is currently tied, but it is true that the teams you normally face are either Weather or Volt-Turn related due to both of those teams usually being better than most, well, except for HO teams. :D
Sad to see a creative competitive battler like your self decide to step away but I understand where you're coming from. Hopefully the upcoming games will help bring back some variety to reignite the desire and interest for you to come back to competitive battling.
Eon80 Truth be told we only battled once. Cody, and whoever else is on here, raising a Pokémon without IVs or EVs would stop this! It's because of EVs and IVs that provoke the strategy need. If you just raise it, it brings back all that fun! I guess nobody'll ever see it my way. Oh well. Good match, and remember, I haven't forgotten when you helped me out and I never will.
Eon80 i will miss battling you man, since you always found a way to make my patience crack, and i am surprised you dint try the create a pokemon metagame.
