Hmm... I don't understand why changing the routes back to #1 means it is a new "generation", which somehow relates to there being no remake. You said that was the only reason, but it doesn't make sense to me...

Err, no, I don't remember when Unova was the "new" beginning. Sure, they reset the routes and made the main characters older. I don't see what that has to do with a "new generation" or why that means they can't make the remakes...

Umm... do you wish you could trade between generations? Perhaps some program, in the form of a game, could take a 1st-gen Pokemon that you got in Pokemon Black and "translate" it into a 1st-gen-compatible Pokemon that you could trade to a RBY game?

This would be cool, in the sense that you would have abilities and pokemon that the CPU couldn't have, but I don't see how this could happen... If they did make something like this, I think it would probably end up destroying both of the games.

And I can't help but wonder, is there anyone else here who thinks that would make the original Red-Blue-Yellow too easy? Also, do those games even work anymore? My Yellow version does, but my Red version died last year.

Also, regarding the talk of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald remakes, I can see good points in both arguments. Tyranitar1 has a good point that they built Black and White from the ground up this time, but I think that I agree more with Zaicon, purely on the grounds that Nintendo seems to have made it a tradition to release remakes in between generations, and they also seems to make a lot of their money(from the pokemon games)by doing this, so I think that they will end up releasing them sooner or later.

I have Pokemon Blue downloaded onto my Blackberry.
I fully believe there will be R/S remakes if not only for the sheer amount of money they would make, I know that there is a big group of people wanting the remake to happen(myself included).
