Because of what I said, I made a mono-Steel team. Works great, with Flash Fire Heatran for Fire and Skarmory for Ground, revolving around Skarm so Steelix for Electric too.
But seriously, that thing is annoying with a boost. If my Mach Punchers go down, I just hope that my Slowbro can take a super-effective Hidden Power...
Will Mach Punch even OHKO a Heatran, or just do a lot of damage? Heatran does have 106 Defense, so unless its a good Fighting type....
hi there!! i'm from the n00bs clan and we are allies, just wanted to say hello allies are allowed to post here, correct?? would love to get to know some of my allies, is all :3
[obnoxious]HEY, shayne GOT A NAME CHANGE![/obnoxious]
Yeah, you can post here.
Yeah, so Heatran is good, but what about Chendelure, it got Flame Charge to, and its SpA is just ridiculously high. Fire Blast/Solarbeam/Hidden Power ???/Flame Charge anyone?
Meinshao is the closest thing to a desginated lead you'll see probably.
Sadly. I'm one of the few people to use a Designate Lead though. WiFi Clause is so f***ing stupid and un-needed, the absolute worst thing introduced in Gen 5.
Usually, Forewarn just picks out moves you probably guessed anyway. Most Hydreigon carry Draco Meteor, a Haxorus with Outrage isn't uncommon, etc.
oh god..... outrage has gotta be one of my least favourite moves ever lol as soon as a pokemon starts outraging i'm like..... crap better get rdy or sommin ;_;
When people use Outrage vs. Me, I just send out Skarmory. Then I use Toxic, and get a free Poison on the switch-in.
Plus, my team is built around Skarm, so when they use a Super-Effective attack, I can just switch to Rotom-H.
OK, so this is hilarious. I just beat this guy on PO, and he refused to accept it becaues I paralyzed his Terrakion. Didn't beleive me when I told him my Gengar was Scarfed, and he therefore would've lost anyway.
Spoiler:Got it in Copy/Paste

You should try it.
The ban was really stupid though, since normal Blaziken is in no way overpowered, but it was banned anyway.
speed boost ability?? must be some damn good ability lol agreed though, i still think that's a little bit much just for one little thing
Yeah. After every turn, it boosts the Pokemon's speed by one, so after 2 or 3 turns it becomes almost impossible to outspeed unless you have Priorety. I always ran a Mix3ed set so it was hard to wall too. The best way to beat it was the predict Hi Jump Kick and send out a Ghost type.

okay then wow yeah nvm, i can see why it was banned now lol THAT'S RIDICULOUS i'm sure it wasn't unbeatable though i mean couldn't you just roar the thing out :L
Assuming you had a Roar-er and could survive the attack.
Not too overpowered thoug, Sharpedo and Yanmega are OU and have SB too. They just don't slaughter everything with it.
Shard4 I'm not concerned with Skarm or Latios in UU, but I'll try Hitmontop or possibly go back to my Hitmonchan or something of the sort. Could I get your Gallade set?
Hearts would you know a good Raikou set? Or would that be more up to Megamaster37?
I actually use a pretty basic Calm Mind set (CM/T-bolt/HP Ice/Shadow Ball). Not sure if its on Smogon or not, since I haven't looked for a set on there in over a year.
You could run a Rain Dance set with Thunder/Weather Ball/Shadow Ball/HP Ice, a Rash-Natured set with Aura Sphere over CM to beat Nattorei, or if you want to try something really bizarre you could give it ExtremeSpeed. Sub/CM could theoretically work. And of course you always have the less-powerful Volt Switch that could probably work on a Choice set.
I generally don't like items like Fight Plate, Silk Scarf, ect, bt thats just preference. Other than that, I think Hitmonchan is fine with its moveset.
EDIT: Doing calcs in my head, I came up with Chan's FocusPunch on this set being 324BP off of 339 Atk. So even a resist will take it at a menacing 162BP. Uh, I think it maaayyyy be worth a try xD
If you can predict a switch/move or replace a move for Sub, you could be able to pull it off
tyranitar omg i have such a hard time reading your posts now lol IN OTHER NEWS i managed to finish ev training an excadrill in game. just beat black with it lol
1 pokemon ftw
That mean you're gonna start building a team now, cause I'd be glad to shove Raikou down your thraot help you make one
Poketrainer_Jay: Everyone notices the Traunt/Entrainment part of Durant, but everyone fails to notice that it also has Hustle. I made a set a while back with Choice Band an the thing reached 712 Attack. It also has Hone Claws (use this with Life Orb, not CB), so if you can predict a switch and set one up, you get the Accuracy bonus to cover the Hustle accuracy loss and a rediculous attack stat (108 speed isn't too bad either)
Toast: Unburdenlee > Unburdentile. It's close though, both are quite brilliant.
I've decided to use Staraptor cause it's so pro looking as my main Mon. I'm currently using Scarf set any original sets out there?
Only scarf set I've ever used was a Reckless-Brave Bird/Double Edge/Close Combat/U-Turn one. Wasn't very original, but it had a ton of Attacking power.
Banded Bullet Punch from Scizor does 44-52%, and Staraptor's Brave bird does 71-84% (with Reckless). With the recoil, you'll be 2HKO'd.
Close Combat to Ferro does 46-54%, assuming Ferro has Max HP and Defense
Against Heatran with Max HP, Close Combat does 67-79%. A Timid 252 SpAtt Fire Blast will OHKO you, 104-123%.
Close Combat on Tyranitar with 252/40 will do 118-140%. Even with 0 Attack EV's, Stone Edge will do 114-135% and OHKO.
Close Combat will do 79-93% to Terrakion, and Brave Bird will do 132-156 assuming Max HP. 252 Attack Stone Edge will do 148-175%, so yeah, don't let yourself get hit.
Shard4: Give it Rest so it can put itself to sleep too, plus you'll be able to heal yourself to full health.
Also, does Crobat learn Roar? If it does, give it Whirlwind AND Roar, not only for maximum trolling, but so Sleep Talk would have less chance to land on Rest.
