Co-operative play

Anyone out there play co-operatively on Master League?

We've been playing weekly for 8 months, now up to mid-table Division 2 on Hard. Our girlfriends don't talk to us anymore.

We've got no idea if we're good or completely cack - it seems harder playing together than on your own? Also, two or three players seems the optimum - any thoughts?

The more human players on one side does make it harder, mainly because your players are pulled out of position. Once you get used to eachothers styles though it can have great benifits.

Yeah we have the assistance thing turned off already, that helps a lot. Can't believe you're in the First Division on Extreme playing co-operative - we won't have time to get that far before PES3 is out. This is with just two players right?

With three of us playing it's easy for a move to break down if one of us isn't concentrating. In the early days it was all about hogging the ball and going for glory, nowadays we play more as a team but we're almost too scared to shoot.

You think YOU can't wait for PES3? I'm contemplating a week off work in its honour. One thing I'd really like to see is individual player stats, ie. which of us has scored the most goals, most assists etc. Then I can prove once and for all who is God.

Nice tip there drpunk, I'll be remembering that next time I play 2 on 2 or such.

Most likely bring it through to PES3 though as long as you can change that.

Anyway, after many attempts with 5 friends to win the konami cup on 5* s ( closet came was final but lost on golden goal straight from kick off ) Me and my mate last night turned out attentions to extreme mode master league.

Oh what a long night it was, completed 1 season which finished at 3pm, after finishing 7th in div 3. Bought 10 created players and 1 player from olympikos (sorry my spelling terrible.) We changed team name to Hartlepool and the strip to something total mingin. Purple, black and yellow stripes, with stripes down the front of shorts etc..
Anyway season kicked off with a draw to fiorentina 1-1 and from then on we never won a single game for 7 matches. Towards the end we had to win every game because of our high wages each match we won finished 1 - 0 . Appart from the last game which finished 2-1 in the dying seconds from a low cross our hopes are still alive.

Shame, that we only have 364points for new season meaning we got now win every game i think for it not to be game over eeeeep

Anyway cant wait for another bash at new season ill try that lowing the player settings thing because we were both sick of switching players at wrong times. Does it work for both of the players running at the ball like school kids or not?

Oh final thing am I right in thinking created players can never be sold? As in no others come in for them and the only way to get rid of them is to discharge or wait for contract to run out.

Ah well guess I'll be starting a new master league again

Something else that I should add to my point about turning the controller assitance off (i.e. auto changing your selected player). When it is turned off it is very easy to get your players out of position. It's very easy to find that you've run your centre back the length of the field because you forgot to change your man. This will obviously leave you pretty open when the opposition gets the ball and attacks. Extra care needs to be taken on selecting the correct player. It helps to know your players by sight because it can only display one selected player name. My mate can't do this and it winds me up.

"Do you know who you just shot with?"
"No. Why?"
"It was our right back you stupid fool!"

Conversations like that are common place. Generally with a few colorful expletives thrown in for good measure.

I've played a normal league 2 player and It's great fun, you get to do some really great passes and crosses that just wouldn't work if you rely on the CPU AI, I find that although scoring is less frequent you can really confuse defenders a whole lot more, one player taking on the guy with the ball and the other marking the potential pass.

Babangida from Nigeria, Eto'O From Cameroon, Kalla from Cameroon, theres a lot of good free players in the Nigerian and Cameroon teams. Those players are probably the best out of the bunch though.
