who's the best?

it realy depends on how you like to fight...but my personal favourite is cloud because he has some pretty mean, defence crushing HP attacks. by the way, a tip for you is that if you strive to get gabranth because you think he will be awsome....dont get over exited because he doesnt have any HP attacks until you enter EX mode (but he can change his EX guage)

BTW, There used to be a tier list on GFaqs and it looked something like this:

With everyone else middle-ish. But then Funkyman2 went and utterly owned everyone on the forum in a tournament with Kefka so they forgot about it. Besides, with accessories on, 2 hp attacks is death with an exp-brave build or wall rush hp build, or you can have insta break from Iai strike with a 100% chance.

But my WoL is lol, Level 150 Squall's Beat Fang only does 400 damage on no crits hahaha. Also, a Snowpetal EX Set on WoL against mages made me shat bricks. You can just keep on spamming Blue Fang to death and see them struggle to try and hit you, and eventually all their spells just go back at them... for 9999 damage

Mage Cloud is obviously the best character.

Slow, tracking fireball, speedy surprise fireball, and GTFO triple fireball. Use snowpetal, and magic counter build, spam the fireballs back and forth. After 2 reflects if it hits the enemy it will do HUGE damage It's also epic against other magic.

You can just dodge all over the place, and whoever you fight will have fireballs going everywhere.

Also, if you fight someone with snowpetal on as well, the bonuses stack and multiply... So you get 900% magic counter damage. Ouch.
Then if they get annoyed and attack randomly, block and slash blow for a load of damage.

It's a really different way to play Cloud, and quite satisfying

Btw, don't get annoyed, it's not my tier list, and even Gamefaqs users don't believe it know.

Also the best attack in the game is dashing ex cancel hell gate. Durr.
