Question about human players. |
|
Basically I'm asking anyone who has played Dissidia on AD-Hoc, and I'm wondering what it's like, better, worse? Are the people challenging etc. =]

Welll I don't have Ad Hoc party, but I've played a couple of friends. But they are all easy because they all main Cloud >_>
But I'm sure they'll change when they start getting owned by Inward Chaos I heard that there is a lot of lag in Ad Hoc party but I wouldn't know. Normal Ad Hoc works with no lag for me, so Jecht is still the way to go for me. Ad Hoc party messes up the combo timings. ------------------- If you sell a man a fish he will eat for a day. I have a lot of friends and non-friends playing Dissidia in the locality, so it's a party over here
And let me just say, the experience is not the same as fighting an AI, especially on Chase sequences. Also, Exp->Brv builds don't work well, don't use them. That aside, the difference in experience is mainly because you know that you're not fighting an AI, and that somehow the vibe feels very different. Another thing to consider is the slight lag, which makes it hard to use Exdeath ._. It can get pretty noisy, but I'm comfortable with hearing the in-game sounds since that's where I find cues easily. This is the main reason why I need to be wary everytime I use Firion's Reel Axe, since it's so inaccurate and has a long recovery time that humans respond too fast to it and I usually get caught getting hit with it (AIs are slow enough for me to be able to Dodge Cancel, but not with humans). Also, don't use Infinites unless you have agreed to do so; it takes the fun out of the game lol. With cases of playing with non-friends, you might see the following characters used often: -Cloud -Squall -Terra -Sephiroth -Tidus -Golbez ------------------- ![]() Banner Credit: jets15 D/P FC: 3265 5480 9641 PMD2 FC: 4296 3864 7504

Sounds extremely fun
When I get a PS3 I wonder if they will still be playing it though >.> Oh and is AD-hoc a feature that the PS3 comes with?

I'm not sure how Ad-Hoc party works, but it probably involves connecting your PSP with the PS3 somehow, then the PS3 connects to the internet or something? That's basically how I understand it.

quote Ulti9999well i guess it does with its remote play feature. however to play games with this ad-hoc you will need the ad-hoc party and a Ethernet cable. ------------------- ![]() Fragments of Darkness, Shards of Light. I shall use them to create something powerful.

AD hoc party isn't out anywhere except Japan at the moment, but if you have a Japanese psn account you can get it anywhere, but I'm not sure if it works with English Dissidia.
