	Basically you put your hand on the Oracle and let the Spirit move it after you ask s/he/it a question. You can do it alone, with a partner, or with a group. Whichever you feel most comfortable with. 	I believe it does... However there is a possibility of the oracle moving to be a subconscious movement. On the other hand, movement in [my] theory is subconscious in itself- my evidence on that is you don't think "arm move up" if you want your arm to move. Example: I think of my arm moving but it doesn't move. I DON'T think about it and it moves. I don't have any sources except my friend pointed this out in my Anatomy class. 	That is why I think it whole lot of hogwash. I mean why do you have to put your hands on the Oracle if the so called spirit(s) is supposed to move it? Personally I think it's just a gimmick.

	The planchette or oracle does require the use of the hands because of the energy transfer needing to take place in order for the spirit to be supposedly channeled through the board. Its that energy that is what gives the ouija the power to act as a medium between the spiritual and the physical. Without the contact, its just cardboard and plastic. Ouija can (and does) exist in many forms, and as in the cases of Angel-san, it can simply be a piece of paper and a pen. What makes it work is the belief that it does and the intent of the people using the board. The problem with them is that there is no fail safe, and this energy just goes to facilitating the connection, not protecting people from tricky spirits or malign entities. There are however entities that can move a planchette on their own, and if you ever see your board move on its own, chances are, you aren't talking to a particularly good spirit.
