call of duty games are supposed to be WW2 games, any thoughts on what the modern wars will bring to the series?

I really don't think it'd ruin it, after all it's infinity ward doing it... i'm personally refreshed to see a change in the setting.

I don't think it will "ruin" the series, just bring a refreshment from the usual WWII content and cast a new light on the series. I for one, cannot wait for the game to come out. It sounds absolutely awesome.

I don't think CoD is "supposed" to be set in WWII. Its been set in that era up until now. Isn't it time for a change?

Exactly. Theres no rule or anything that states that CoD is strictly only a series of WWII shooters. The series just happened to start out that way. Just because it started out that way, doesn't mean it should remain that way.

The game will be released on November 5th for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. I haven't heard about a Wii release...

i was hoping for another ww2 one. but at least they haven't ruined it with vehicles.

its coming out on the DS aswell, although how well that will work remains to be seen. well i havent seen anything of it anyway.

personally ive never played a CoD game before but i saw a pre-release tournament type match on xleague.tv last weekend and its got me really interested in this one. ive even got the demo and im loving it.

I'm not really sure there are any plans for a Wii version.

I'm definitely getting it for DS.

I have the game and let me tell you!

If your used to RB6V or any first person shooters. This is a whole new playing field. This game online is fast paced and it put's everyone who think they are elite to test their skills. It's nothing like you played before.

Get the game because it's diffently the best so far!

As to ruining the series. No way!!! It BOOSTED COD to a whole new level. It will be hard for other one person shooters to top this game.

Trust me you will not be disappointed.

I agree wholeheartedly. I loved the previous COD titles, but this is the best ever, in my opinion.

They put some serious work into this and it shows.

Everything I've heard and read about this game makes me want it so bad... but my graphics card crashed it when I tried to run the demo >.<

it may b modern warfare but it still has that CoD feel to it.
11/10 for the movie like storyline.
