hi all, having to do a factory reset on my PC ,could anyone tell me how to save my settings so i don't loose my rank and weapons,thanks.

Copy the contents of C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles. When you replace these files after reformatting, delete the file config_mp in your profile folder, this only contains graphics information but if you don't delete it the game will crash when you join a server.
Your ranks, challenges etc will be saved. Took me ages to work this out  -------------------

I always thought multiplayer profile information is associated with your key code.
