Let me start off by saying UGHHHHHH.

I'm at the very end of the mission where you have to survive until the helicopter arrives. Does anyone have good advice for where to camp in order to survive this battle? I've been trying for around an hour and I keep getting owned when the chopper is around 2000m away. I can easily stay alive by camping over behind the bumper cars and killing anyone that bothers me with the AK-47, but then when it comes time to go pick him up, it's like a suicide run, so I don't think that's going to work.

Place I stayed at was all the way to the right of the ferris wheel, like..there's a little Merry-go-round sort of thing(XD) and just stayed back there, it's also close so when the chopper arrives you can get to Macmillan...And don't go to far into the trees or you'll get radiated.

Ah, I beat it by a stroke of luck, now I'm having fun with Heat.

I'm on this bit now, 4 times the helicopters arrived and I've died trying to get the bitch to it. Damn it.

yeah tank im like you on tht level. i cant get to him in the end. except one time i did............ and got him got to the chopper and guess what i was on it but it took off and left me!!

I had a damn hard time beating it on Hardened. My best advice would be hole up to the right of the building with the swimming pool in the doorway at the end of the alley and then when the chopper arrives haul ass to get McMillan and onto the chopper, I haven't tried it on veteran yet, though.

Well, from what I've seen in youtube video's, there was a lot better things to do than what I did:

What I did was after dropping off the claymores in various area's, I ran back to where you came out of the last building (The Locker room and the Swimming pool). Keep going past it and go either left or right. YOu should see an open place for you to hide in and I had no trouble with any person going over there. Or, you hide in the bushes by the edge of the map and you camp there with killing few enemies. Anyways, you make a run to the left after the chopper arives, behind the bumper cars. Pick up McMillan and pray nobody shoots.

What I saw on Youtube was the same thing, only C4 was planted also. Which killed nearly have the people around the Chopper.

I stayed by the ferris wheel for the first wave and then once the helicopters came i ran over to the pavilian area and went prone and just killed the people that walked by, but you have to check inside that area for people coming up.... so pretty much go lie down to the left of a tree and wait

When I beat it I think I just had a really good game. I stayed over by the bumper cars the whole time and just annhilated anyone who came near me or the ferris wheel, and when it was time to run over to Mac and take him to the helicopter, I only got shot at once. Probably luck.

Kjg, you got lucky. What I did was lay down in that white fence area behind the bumper cars. I picked up a G3 along the way, and layed down behind a tree. I could easily pick off anyone that came close.

Yeah, when I beat this, I was behind the tree for the first wave to pick off some guys and then I ran over to the bumper cars, scattered claymores all over the place, and just waited for guys to come after me so I could just pick them off. I spent ages on this part on Hardened because it took me awhile to figure out where I should hide. On veteran, I completed it on my second try.

I also just ran for Captain Macmillan and hoped for the best. I think I got shot once so I just hid behind the booth by the ferris wheel until I healed up and ran to the chopper. At least they are much more forgiving when you're carrying him.

When I was carrying the bitch to the chopper, there was like an invisible wall that wouln't let me in as soon as I got there and I almost died. I was cursing up a storm.

I was unlucky - I did not get one checkpoint throughout that entire defensive part. I was PISSED.

Can you even die when you are carrying someone?

In the mission where you have to carry the pilot and then MacMillian I got shot like 10 times and wouldn't die on veteran. So either they boost your health a lot or your invincible
