New classes

Ive read somewhere that this expansion will feature new races(that i will not be playable, but will be in game), but does anyone now if it will feature any new classes. And lets say i have GW: prophecies, and i get this expansion, will i able to use ritualist, assasin... from this expansion?

re: New classes

I'm pretty sure it contains the magical creatures (ripped from Final Fantasy the 'Moogles') 'Asura' you must have seen the minipets, but they are not playable.

re: New classes

From what I understand, there won't be any new classes and you won't be able to create new characters in the expansion. You'd play through the expansion with the level 20 characters you already have.

And, you can only play the ritualist and assassin if you have Factions.

re: New classes

No new classes, the new races from GW2 will be in GWEN as heros

Asura, Norm, Charr, etc.

You can use any of your level 20 characters in GWEN.

I think they look more like the House Elves from Harry Potter.

re: New classes

GW:EN is designed for lvl 20 people to go in kill stuff. Personally i think hm was made to prepare people for gwen since there will b many dungeons

re: New classes

HM was supposed to be released with Nightfall and it was only meant to be for missions, then the Devs changed there minds and wanted to make every area have the HM option.

re: New classes

No, there will not be any new charecters. Nither races or classes. The playable races get released in GW2 and no you will not be aloud to play as assain or ritulist etc in prophicies...

re: New classes

We've already covered the fact that there are no new classes, and why shouldn't Rts and Sins be allowed to play in Tyria?

That's like saying they can't play in Elona as well.

And Paragons and Dervish can only play in Elona no where else...

Kind of defeats the point in all three games being linked.

re: New classes

You have to look into reality. If the Dervish, Paragon, Assassin, and Ritualist were all "tri-campaigned," do you realize the work ArenaNet has to accomplish to make this feature fair? The areas created in Prophecies were mainly for the core classes, the six originals and you should know what they were. If you brought a Dervish into Prophecies, you'd have to rework the gameplay to make them easier to kill. Giving enemies new skills (enchant strippers, ways to remove shouts) which use skills from other games that aren't part of Prophecies.

Not only that, but you'd have to make more facial features, your body art for your character. There would have to be European versions of the Assassin, Ritualist, Paragon, and Dervish, though I would definitely appreciate this, it would make people who created the character from that campaign to be reworked.

For example, a Ritualist in Prophecies was previously, a necromancer who used blood spells. Blood 'Ritual' for example. The game would need too many redefining and ArenaNet wouldn't be up to the task. You better appreciate the fact that you have what you have, for now.

What skills in any game can remove shouts? There maybe some in Gwen I havent't checked but even if there is that's not relevant since there were none before that time.

And until a few months ago you couldn't even interupt them.

re: New classes

You can already bring assassins/ritualists/dervishes/paragons into Prophecies and play all of the content as long as you own both games. Go into beacon's perch and count how many dervishes you see.

And no you can't remove shouts, just like you can't remove weapon spells.

Yes but you can't get them to pre-searing.
