Quick Taping tips?

I want to start playing on Medium and I noticed you need to tap diffrent colors very fast and it's just too hard!
Any tips?

re: Quick Taping tips?

Start out on training mode, on a slower speed. That way if you miss too many notes, you won't fail the song. You can play through the entire song. Playing medium on a slower speed will pretty much be the same as playing on easy mode, just with the extra fret in there. It'll help you out a lot, I did the same thing when I got GH2 earlier in the summer.

How do you play? When starting out, I remember my friend only used three fingers; he had them placed on the green, red, and yellow frets. You'll want to use all four fingers, just have them placed on the first four frets. You will rarely have to move them.

Also, if you lose your hand placement, don't look at the guitar. Remember that the yellow (middle) fret button has a little line that you can feel on it... that helps you know where your fingers should be. When playing on medium your ring finger should be on that yellow fret.

Umm... that's about all I can think of. However, when you come accross a cord that makes you stretch your fingers (for example: green/yellow cord or red/blue cord) I find it much easier to move your hand, and use your index and ring finger to tap them. You'll have to move your hand, depending on the cord, but it's definitely easier. My pinky finger isn't that strong, and on those types of cords, my pinky finger often doesn't hold it down. So yeah. Try that. XD

re: Quick Taping tips?

if mediem just use your 4 fingers for each fret key since your only using 4 keys in the 1st place

Oh, I was coming in here assuming you meant the first part of TTFAF on Expert lol.

Yeah, you just need to get your muscule memory so that you don't have to be thinking about which fingers are on which frets, then you can start improving. This of course, takes practise like everything else

re: Quick Taping tips?

DONT do it on slowest, because then your memory starts off slow and ist just as hard to do it with the same speed, it just takes longer.

Bad advice, I start all new sections I'm learning on slowest, its all about finding the right method. Then speeding it up.

re: Quick Taping tips?

I know this may sound stupid, but when you have a run of the same notes, are you keeping those frets held down? By the way you said it, you made it sound like you press the frets only when you strum.
