[Feature] Members can help approve articles (beta)
|
I've implemented a feature which will let anyone level 3 or above help get an article approved! If you've submitted an article before you've seen the pending queue. http://www.gamegrep.com/pending/Now, if you're level 3+ you can see other peoples articles in the queue. You can "approve it". if an article gets 5 approvals the article will be published. You cannot approve your own article. We hope this feature will help in getting your articles approved faster than what the current approval times are. Please note that the levels and the number of approvals can be adjusted. This feature is in the beta testing stages. Adjustments will be made to it over time. Happy Grepping! Edit: May 16, 08

That's a really cool new feature Tek. I was wondering why it said Pending (0). Good job.

Sounds cool. Hope that the standard is still high or else more duplicates will be approved.

I was wondering why in the pending queue was Akira's article there.

Last time I tried it didn't let me.
And could there be a way to report it when it is there for a reason for an approver to come along?

What do you mean by "it didn't let me"? You can approve/rate only once. (I'm not sure whether you guys are seeing an "approve it" or a "rate it".) Five people approve/rate one article, and it's approved automatically.
Anyway, this is a very good feature. I mean even CRS has this kinda thing, so why not GameGrep? It'll be good to see our articles approved soon, for once.
I suggest a new queue be made for approvers and mods so that all user-approved articles can be listed there (while being on the front page already), and we can check those quickly. What do you think about that, tek?

What I mean is I clicked "Approve It" and it brought me to the top of the page. Sort of like this link would
When I click it it just brings me to the top of the page I'm on and doesn't work.

You said that happened when you were trying to reply to comments as well, right? Maybe it's something wrong at your end. Maybe some kinda glitch or something is making all those links with '#'s not work. *shrugs* Anyway, you could add this to your bug report of the comment issue as well.
