Look here. Those are all the news articles you submitted and received two points for.
Also, I believe that the article must be approved for you to receive the points. ------------------- | |

TwilightPrince is correct. You do get two points for posting articles, but only if they're approved. If an approver or moderator deletes or sends it to the Requires Edit queue, you do not get the points until it is approved otherwise.
