[Bug] "Please input a valid URL and try again" |
|
Lately, when I have attempted to submit certain articles on Gamegrep (mostly articles from 1UP) I recieve the "Please input a valid URL and try again" message, which won't allow me to submit the article.
I make sure the URL is valid, then try to subit it again, but it just won't let me. Is this a bug? -------------------

Please give me the URL that your trying, that way we can see what's wrong with it and is stopping it from being accepted.

This is the URL I'm currently having trouble with, though I've had a bit of trouble with other 1UP URLs in the past.

It seems to be working fine for me. It may sound like a silly question, but are you sure that's exactly what you paste into the URL input box?

Yep, that's what I'm putting in the URL box.

This kept happening with my Wii Balance Board used with Google Maps story. I tried three different sources before finding one that worked. It even said YouTube was invalid. But the websites worked fine as alternate sources.

I know a few times I accidently put the URL into the "Headline" box, and the Headline into the "Source URL" box. I kept getting that error until I finally realized my stupid mistake.

I tried to submit it again today, and it's working now. Maybe my computer was having a bad day? -------------------

No, chances are it has something to do with our end of things. I'll test this on our dev to see if I can reproduce the issue. I may just need to tweak the URL validation a bit. Being that Monday is a holiday I'll get on it on Tuesday. (:
If you do get this again PM me the URL ASAP. -------------------
