Ok I was thinking about this when searching for something and I have to say I'm not liking how its set up. I mean I want to find a certain article with a picture of a Wii mote and finding the article and the date of it is a mess. I mean it doesn't even have the dates in order is just one article from 3 days ago, then the next one April 15 07. I feel the search feature would greatly be better if there would be an upgrade on it. Like searching for Wii Remote articles made from certain months and year.

It also makes it very hard to find duplicates and most of the time they don't even come up as related (which uses the same search function if I am not mistaken).
The staff knows of this and I would venture a guess is working to improve it as we speak. | |

Im just talking about the regular search engine, not the duplicates. But I thought this needed addressing cause its a mess atm, and I still can't find the article im looking for, I don't even know the name.

The search engine definitely needs a fix up. As Finalblade said, the articles should be listed in chronological order (newest first, oldest last). At the moment it seem to randomly select articles that are relevant to my search ... and some seem to have absolutely no relevance whatsoever. Yeah, I've noticed that too. It will chose completely random articles sometimes that don't have much to do with what you are searching for.

I have future plans on upgrading the search to be more robust with features. However, at the moment I'm on a larger project so this has taken a backseat in light of that. I do already have something in the works, though.
