Well, Me and my bro have been sweeping through the songs on expert on rock band, however, we can't get the gold stars, are they a special type of song you have to play to get them? If so please tell, and are there any special requirements.

Either get a 100% or miss about 1 or 2 notes (depending on the length of the song). There is a certain score for each song that will give you gold stars, and that usually means beaing damn near perfect.

that's what I thought but then i got 99% on enter sandman and missed only one note but i only got 5 stars. I think it's about the long streaks...

If you can tell when you get the 5 star, take half of that score and add it to the five star score, and that's about what you need for gold stars. The score for Enter Sandman is 181,412.

nope, that's not it. I got 240k on it but still didn't get it -.- i'm pretty sure from the vids it's the long streaks but i dunno how long they have to be...

I have no Idea. I have completed songs 100% before, and still havnt gotten the gold stars. But another time, I got 401 notes in a row, and the second I got 400, the gold stars apeared. Thats only happened once, and today, I got 700 notes in a row on a song, but still didnt get 5 gold stars. I'm at a loss at this point.

Yea, I just did enter sandman on drums and i got 230k and a 1300 note streak, but i didn't get gold stars, then i got 98%, so maybe it's 99% with a long streak or somethin', cuz it's really getting me annoyed trying to figure this out...

I believe the magic number for gold stars is 1.44 times the 5* cutoff. Also, www.rockband.scorehero.com has an online leaderboards with rankings and star quantities, so if you think you're close to a cutoff you can head over there and check. They also provide overdrive paths in the forums.

Also, you can only get Gold Stars on expert.

I'm pretty sure its the same as guitar hero, 100% and don't miss any like star power things (i can't remember what there called in rock band)

You have to get 5 stars and everyone 90% +
