Well, a forum is good as dead if the only activity it gets is from the OTD threads.

The PPD in here is going to plummet to about -10 by the end of the month

TBH, the only things keeping the forum alive were the OTD, Caption Contest, Vs. Thread and my No Mercy thread.

As long as there's still activity in a forum with a high PPD, the forum needs a moderator.

The forum's always been in the shitter somehow, it's nothing like the older SD forums, this year it's become some sort of haven for forum games and the off-topic discussion thread. There's like about 5-6 games always running on top(Caption Contest, Vs. thread, tournaments, hurt & heals, superstar voting competition) and that, along with the OTD is what always kept the PPD so high. TBH, I didn't like the inclusion of so many in-forum activities this year, let alone the diaries, which makes about... averagely 4 or 5 non-diary/game threads on the first page over the last few months, not including the OTD, obviously.

Not saying it should die or anything, but that's how I've always seen it.

Let's see, the Games weren't crap... The Moderators didn't slack off forever and then decide to enforce the rules.. Where to begin?

Hmm, first of all the way the forum has been this time.. well heres how I see it.

Tom in my mind saw what was successful in 07 and tried to bring it all here. It really hurt the overall discussion however because when the game discussion dies.. then the games start up like every other year.

However it was like right off the bat that they popped up.

So many problems and yet it really isn't worth arguing about it or even stating it. You're gonna do whatever you want and no one higher up will do much. I've already figured that out a long time ago.

For the record I'm not 100% blaming Tom even though it sounds like it.. The members called for it so he delivered
