Downloadable Content

What with the big capabilities and all of the PS3 and XBOX360, there should definitely be downloadable content up for grabs. I was thinking the type of thing that could be downloaded were new superstars that have joined the WWE along with their entrance and moveset, new attires, and more accessories/clothes for CAWS. Maybe even new storylines for WWE24/7 Mode, but that one might not work. Just an idea.

People's thoughts on this?

re: Downloadable Content

Not going to happen. This isn't the first time this is being proposed. THQ/Yukes are not dumb. SmackDown is a gaming series that comes out yearly. If they gave you all of the new stuff to download, why would anyone get the next installment of the game when it comes out?

re: Downloadable Content

Ok, so the additional storyline thing was a bit over the top. but would it really make a difference if say just a few new superstars were available for download? It might be worthwhile for THQ/Yukes to do such a thing if maybe there was a small price to pay for downloadable content, perhaps?

re: Downloadable Content

Yes. Because every year they say they make so many new improvements and they put so much stuff in and this and that...but most of what they put in, is insignificant and doesn't change much. So this year they TOOK OUT GM Mode and Season Mode and made it into one...yeah...okay...what other differences? So they have moves based on their classifications (showman etc), they already had those except it was heel and babyface moves. What else is new in this game? When it comes down to it, the most important thing that new versions of the games have is the roster. An updated roster is the most significant part of SmackDown games. They wouldnt' jeapordize that.
