I haven't ever really gotten into the castlevania series before (the only one I really liked was aria of sorrow on gba), so I had missed this game. After hearing so much about it, I downloaded it. Fun stuff. It does seem extremely outdated graphically and gameplay wise, but it's not bad for $10!

Best 2D game ever imho. Easily the best Castlevania game in the series. I don't think the gameplay's outdated at all. Fighting enemies and bosses and exploring the castle's still good fun. I'm having as much fun with it now as I did 10 years ago. Awesome game!

Yeah pretty nice that they released it on XBLA, definitely one of the best 2d games ever made and the best in the series to date.

pretty good, i stillr really like the Gameboy and DS CV's too, but this one is great. i never played the original version back on PSX though.

I don't understand why they can't make a new 2d castlevania for next gen systems. that would just be amazing.

is this a GAME or a arcade download

it would be pretty amazing if they make a new castlevania game and alucard is the main character and have the same 2d graphics but instead they wold make the background better than the SOTN.

Anyways it would be pretty awesome to play this game again on a another console rather in the psx i mean this game rocks!!
