NFS: PU Online Help Requested

Hello,

I have just bought this fantastic game, and am wondering how the Internet multiplayer function works.

When I go into the multiplayer section and click on Internet play I get asked for a username and password. Since I don't have one, I click on 'register' and the game closes down and opens up Internet Explorer. It tries to go to http://login.earacing.com/ but that just redirects to http://mco.ea.com/ which is closing down and not taking new registrations.

How do I go about playing multiplayer NFS: PU on the Internet?

Well, MCO is offline. To play via the Internet, you'd need to use the Peer-To-Peer game function, but you have to know the exact IP address of the person hosting the game. Gets rather confusing,

I thought about creating something like that. Not got anywhere with it yet though. What did you have in mind? I would definately be interested. I am sure others would be too.
