take the reins, America final week before world champs, help needed!

So plot wise I'm up to date, but i am having real trouble with cross country and show jumping in particular, sometimes i will get 9/10 but my overall score on the timetable will only go up by 0.5, is this a glitch? i have had this game for years but never made it to the world champs because my study week is too hard to complete, i'm not exactly getting terrible scores, granted i get at least 1 refusal, maybe 2 on cross country, but im inside the time and end up with final scores ranging between 6-9/10 and yet my timetable score hardly moves, and always stays in the red, preventing my progress. (Except on dressage, i can just about do that one)

Any tips? It's set to beginners level.

i have exactly the same problem as u i tryed to do it bout a year ago then i gave up at the stage i am now which is the second time in america any tips on cross contry? thx
