Well I now have all access to both Islands plus the ability to fly planes/ride Jetskis.

I can't really be bothered with the story missions anymore now that I have unlocked both islands, I am only 15% in and already I have unlocked everything pretty much aside from outfits, there is no incentive to do missions now, besides see how the story ends of course.

Does anyone have any tips for "When Funday Comes" (the quad race with Louise in the trailer park)? I keep losing control and skidding all over the place, but if I slow down to drive more carefully I lose the race anyway.

Okay, you have to remember that the quads handle very differently than the other vehicles in the game. For the record, you are on the right track driving slower, because the quads have a huge problem on tight turns, and very often they seem completely unresponsive when you do make a turn. The key is to learn the course and drive slower around the turns and fast on the straightaways. I took a few times to pass this one too, and it was basically just a matter of getting used to the handling of the Quad bike. One thing you may want to try if you are stuck is to practice on the quad races in Downtown. They will help you a lot with passing this mission.

Here are some tips for all the race missions, in all gta's:

1. Don't drive too fast
2. Don't be scared to break, it may save you a lot of time
3. Break in every (sharp) turn
4. Don't panic if one of your opponents passes you, drive carefully to the finish and you'll eventually pass him with no problems

But as chiro says, a quad isn't that easy to handle, but I got it on my second try by following these basic rules.

I am having trouble with that Domestobot mission where you have to crack the safe. I found the safe, but I don't know how to enter the code?

I cheated here, I read a FAQ, which told me the exact location of the safe and the code, so i went straight to the safe, ignored all of Deigos side missions, and tried to unlock the safe but I couldn't figure out how. Are his side missions (like cleaning rooms) compulsory before you can even begin to unlock the safe?

I am on the mission where, I forgot the name, but when Vic tires to find Louise but Lance wants to get back at the Mendez Brothers.It shows a cut scene when they are outside their house, a car pulls up and one man gives a warning and the blows up the race car, Lace gets on the motorcycle and rides away to fight them back. The problem is that you have to protect lance from getting killed, but I can't seem to do that since the cars keep coming and pop my tires. If anyone know what mission I'm talking about please help, I'll try to get the mission name ASAP when I try to play it again.

Yeah I noticed that most of the missions are down to look more than the skill of the player, like with that stupid Domestobot mission (I finally passed it today), it just so happened that one of Armandos tasks was in the room right next to the safe so I could get to it quicker and enter the code before he had time to give me another order, when that order could have been on the 1st floor rather than the basement. Luck I guess.

Thanks for your help with the quads, everyone. I've finally got past it. Man, I hate missions where you have to drive fast. The only kind I hate more are those where you have to drive fast and shoot someone down.

Now, let's see what the next mission is... Oh.

I need help for the first time on this game.

I'm having trouble with 'light my pyre', I can't defend Lance well enough.

The bastards keep popping my tires, so then I have to look for another vehicle and by then they have *bleep*ed Lance up.

So has anyone got any tips for this mission? Help would be much appreciated.

I've got the same problem right now. This is easily the most frustrating GTA mission for me. I've gotten to the Mendez's mansion once, and its seems to run entirely on luck. What car spawns first, how many cars spawn on the road while you drive, if you get a couple stars on accident, how many enemies spawn at a time, how Lance drives.... It's all up to luck it seems.

By the way the mission is Light My Pyre and if anyone could give some tips it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm having a really hard time with Reni's first mission driving the Lamborghini stunt thing..I've picked up 4 wanted stars before during and after and it isn't helping me and the Mendez Bros mission where you kill some drug dealers and then go fight a bunch of bikini clad girls armed with AK-47s and sniper rifles
