I like Toninio's idea about all the club badges of every supported team on these forums. Might be a few though

Interviewer: "Any words regarding your new job?"
Davies: "I'm just delighted to have been given the opportunity of proving myself and I'm looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead."

Interviwer: Are you looking to take Preston that step forward?
Davies: "You can't tell me what to do."

Sky Sports Live score Center. Very good way of keeping track with scores if you cant be bothered to leave your computer screen .
Very cool, yet complex. You have to go through many links to get to your destination. I recommend Livescore
This one is amazing with every match on there! But it is simple, and updated every minute. I love it. Check it out.

re: General Discussions & Introductions VI

Guys, I need suggestions. For my Audio module, I need to get the music of a game and write about how effective the music was at creating atmosphere or just simply adding to the game. At the moment I can only think of a few games that the soundtrack/sound effects really stick out.

Also, check out the NESkimos. They are "The greatest Nintendo band ever", the only I think. They do covers of soundtracks of Nintendo games and have been on MTV and stuff. Go to "Song Downloads" to check out some of their stuff.

re: General Discussions & Introductions VI

Metal Gear Solid is a good example of a fine game soundtrack.

You could comment on the use of strings, with low droning notes to create suspense and short stabbing high strings for tension. When you get "discovered" the music speeds up giving it a 'frantic' or 'panic' feeling. Usually in the stealth areas the music has a minimalistic style whilst the action areas are usually the exact opposite.

Depending on which game(s) you want to comment on, I could help.

Spanking idea Woodward. Now all I need to do is rip the music off the cd, or find it on the net.

GTA3 & Vice City are two that spring to mind.
Especially GTA3, cruising around in a mafia car, listening to some classical music.
The soundtracks in both these games are what really makes them.

Another thing I just thought of is that you could mention the use of minor chords in dangerous or unhappy situations, and the use of major chords in happy or triumphant situations. I reckon you'd find alot of this on Final Fantasy games.

They are blatent though and are just radio stations. For GTA is would be the sound effects of cars skidding etc.

I thought that was what you meant. Both games I mentioned had great music to them, and without the soundtracks would have in no way been as successful.

The "Tomb Raider" series was another that I think had great music, and also that old classic "Lemmings".

The music from "Morrowind", "Deus Ex" and "Deus Ex: Invisible War", are too good to miss. You will thank me for telling you about them, Ooter. Anyone who played these game, commented that the music is AMAZING! Check them out.
