	Log in to remove this sponsored message There are few things that make my blood boil these days, but I'll make an exception with Twitter. It seems every time you open up a paper or check Sky Sports News, there's some arsehole footballer putting his foot in his mouth on that stupid website. Whether it's the recent Ashley Cole calling the FA a bunch of twats (nice role model), Rio Ferdinand and the choc ice episode (although it was more an approving reply if anything), Wayne Rooney pretending he can read, Joey Barton thinking he's a philosopher or whatever else; the website seriously does my tits in. One of the worst is when a player gets angry over his club and talks about it on Twitter. The use of the website should be banned, and players should be fined using it. Morons. Should Twitter be banned from the use of football players (at least the idiots; there should be an IQ test) or do you enjoy the 'controversy'?

	I think it's good, nice to know footballers are bleeped off when a decision is made by the FA. Only annoying thing about it all, is the FA keep fining players for speaking their mind. ------------------- Oooh Gaston Ramirez!

	It's not bad, it's just the players who use it. Like, what was Ashley Cole hoping to achieve by saying that? Absolutely no reason for it. Not all players say shit like that. But yeah, when a player has something he has to get off his chest, they usually spew it out all over twitter, they should know better though.

	I hate the website in all its forms to be honest, not just football - but footballers are a prime example for my peer group and they'd get the most publicity because of it here. I'd appreciate footballers more if I knew nothing about their lives off of the pitch.

	Not sure if it's relevant but I think we as a country idolise footballers far too much and put them on such a high pedestal it's almost pathetic. From obsessing over performances and watching every little detail of a game/performance, wanking over stats, getting opinions from Sky Sports pundits to hearing the cringeworthy commentators screaming loudly when an opportunity occurs just to try and get a soundbite and putting videos on YouTube of a players every touch during a game, regardless of whether it's a 30 yard screamer or a 5 yard pass under no pressure. It always astonishes me when the general public are shocked when a footballer makes a controversial tweet/swears in a tweet/ etc. I see hundreds of more offensive/wrong tweets than ones footballers make but because its such a high profile name a huge fuss gets made for no reason. If Ashley cole wants to call the FA twats why can't he? Think people see to forget footballers are people with opinions like us.
