Barclays Premier League - Round 4

With the International break having been and (thankfully) gone we're back to the league this weekend with strangely no big teams on the telly. Norwich face West Ham in the early kick-off making it the third time in a row West Ham will have the early Saturday game. Both games have so far resulted in 3-0 wins for the home team, however Norwich have only scored 2 so far so another repeat of this is unlikely. Arsenal will become the third top 3 side to beat Southampton 3-2 having been 2-1 down, leaving Southampton bottom of the league surprising no-one. Michu, and many Fantasy Footballers, will be hoping to add to his 4 for the season already. Villa's defenders, being the useless twats that they are, will probably let him. The international break came at a good time to Fulham who having started magnificently with a 5-0 win have failed to pick up another point, this is their first game at home since then though and they will hope to return to winning ways. West Brom will provide tough opposition for them though, 7 points puts them third in the table with Steve Clarke looking very impressive. United meanwhile face a team who beat them last year when the title looked safe. Surely too early for a loss to be catastrophic this campaign, but after unconvincing wins against Fulham and Southampton Fergie will be expecting a response. Unfortunately both RVP and Kagawa will be fit for them. The only team to have won all their games is hardly what QPR would want after a only picking up 1 point so far, but with Chelsea not having played in three weeks they could be rusty. There are no other talking points for this match. In a repeat of the game which provided the best goal of last season Stoke face City. A potential first game for Michael Owen, who of course scored 'the goal which created 30 pages of arguments'. Could history repeat itself or, more likely, will Stoke grind out a goalless draw? Sunderland host Liverpool for the evening game having played one less game so far. They still sit ahead of Liverpool in the table of course, because Liverpool are shit.

Junior Messi will be cheering every goal that goes in on Sunday as Tottenham travel to Reading in a game in which Tottenham should be far too good for their opposition, meaning it will definitely be a draw.

Shelvey is the most overrated youngster on our books. And we have a few. So raw it's untrue. Nowhere near ready for the first team.

At the minute he's a bit of a liability. Gerrard isn't great but definitely gets the nod over Shelvey who has been worse.

And Shelvey isnt exactly the same? He's just as bad with all the silliness of a youngster added in.

Only thing I like about him at the minute is his confidence. He does 12 shite things in a row and it doesn't phase him. He'll still try play his game. Get his confidence into Henderson and you've got yourself a player.
