To be fair they saw the ball that rarely that they had to have something to cheer, other than their players smashing into ours.

As for Walcott, I'd disagree with what Sex said. I'd go as far as to say that Cazorla aside, he's the player who opposistion teams will be most fearful of and try to stop. He's still inconsistent, he could still do more out wide, but his pace and his runs scare any defender and any team.

What's since come out about him willing to stay suggests that his love for the club gives us probably 6 months to show him he can achieve something with us. The only issue is, if he has a poor 12 months, we'll be unlikely to offer him a similar wage, and if he has a storming season we'll lose a player going into his prime for absolutely nothing.

Which is why, even though he's given his assurances that he wants to stay, if City or Liverpool come in for him with a healthy bid, he'll be off. Financially it'd be stupid not to.

Walcott will flourish in a team that actually get people in the box for him to cross too.

Main reason RVP suddenly got so many goals was because he stayed in the box and Theo had someone to aim at.

Nobody is coming in until we manage to shift some out.

The most likely of these being Bendtner to Italy or Chamakh out somewhere on loan.

Unless we can do that, no more signings. Which suggests we're not close to a deal. Lame.

I don't think we really need Cabaye. Obviously any quality we can add to the squad is welcome, but if that's our only signing then I think it's a bit of a waste. We already have several midfielders with good technique and an eye for a pass.

We need better quality on the wings. As is always the case, teams get points off of us by cramming the penalty area and the space just in front. We can't get through the middle so we are forced out wide. We then proceed to put in awful crosses, win a corner which we don't convert, or turn around and pass it back out to the middle again.

If Gervinho could ever actually learn how to pick a man out, he could go some way to solving this problem. He actually manages to get into the box from a wide position, but his cutback is always terrible. A lot of the time he doesn't even cut it back, just gets forced to run the ball out of play, or loses it.

There aren't many good wide players available to us which obviously isn't Wenger's fault. Can't think of many complete wingers that we could sign but we'll need to find one if Walcott leaves soon. Gervinho is one of the most frustrating players I've ever come across, if he could just pick out players in the box he'd be amazing. He still has time to learn though, Walcott had the same problem and we managed to (sort of) fix that. Arshavin is a pretty good crosser so he's an option as a sub if we need plan B.

Think Ox should be given more chances this season out wide, there isn't much room in the middle for him but I'm sure he won't mind too much as long as he's getting game time. Would like to see him start more games.

You guys are probably right about Cabaye. Really don't want to settle for Diaby but I think we'll have to. Window is coming to a close and we aren't even strongly linked with a DM. Wouldn't be surprised if Diaby steps up and proves everyone wrong this season but I don't want to rely on that possibility.
