Okay... I watched the first 1.45 of 'Lets play Skyrim' and see 'Lv.1', a Dragon, Ulfric Stormclook? and something walking around with a cat face. I can't take dragons or magic or any of that shit seriously. I find it childish and embarrassing in all honesty. Nothing personal against the people who play it, I just can't relate to it in any fashion. Levelling is a feature in many games, hardly makes it pathetic. Plus, dragons are awesome and Ulfric Stormcloak is just a name. D: Magic just adds another element to the game, take that out and you miss out on loads, even storylines and quests. Once you play it, you'll think differently. And besides, the beauty of Skyrim is that you can play it how you want. You don't have to bother with unrealistic creatures (which occur in nearly all games anyway), magic or even levelling up (though obviously you'll be doing that regardless). It'd be pretty difficult to avoid dragons with them being a pivotal part in the game, mind. I can see where you're coming from in terms of the likes of World of Warcraft. People take that shit way too seriously and I just couldn't see myself bothering with all of that. Same with Final Fantasy really. I'm just saying that Skyrim isn't really what you think it to be. P.S. The Khajit are awesome (the "cat face").

	Haha the only games I've played for the last three years or so are COD, Fifa, FM and maybe GTA5. All kinda famed for their reflection of reality. Oh and the first half of Dead Space. I'd say the last time I got close to dragons or anything like that was watching LotR when it first came out in the cinemas. I think the last game I played that could even resemble these things is probably Final Fantasy 9. So I was what...10? When levelling is taken competitively it is pretty pathetic tbh. The concept I understand and appreciate, but when people brag about levels and shit it is cringe-worthy. I lived with two guys at uni and they played Skyrim. They tried to tell me about it but I just couldn't appreciate it. Or even come to point of trying to care about it. Or Mass Effect. Or Fallout. Sat and tried to watch but nothing about them I found particularly entertaining or satisfying.

	See I was happy to watch this same mate play through Dead Space 1+2 and Bioshock and genuinely understood and enjoyed them - just laying there hungover most of the time haha

	Is it not exactly the same, if not worse, with fifa and cod though? I can think of times I've listened to people discuss rank on cod and, imo, that gets much more competitive than levelling ever does on a game like Skyrim. With games like TES it's more about the sort of gratification you get with it and be able to talk to people about it rather than brag. I suppose every category comes with it's nutjobs but I've always thought it to be the "more realistic" games that have ppl addicted to getting good- admittedly with cod it's mainly the 12 year olds that are obsessed. also the fact that you play Skyrim Cashis is frankly bleeping mental. Did not expect that haha don't even know why

	Why does everyone like Saints Row series? I thought the first one was terrible A complete GTA rip off that is so uncomfortable to play too. Pro King Basically, there's not much point discussing NV, it simply isn't as good in any way. It's between Skyrim & Fallout 3 if you want one of those. Both awesome games, just depends on your preference; Skyrim is in the medieval times with swords, shields, bow n arrows, castles, dungeons, magic, dragons, nature, whereas Fallout is a bit more futuristic set in a wasteland with guns. Although that may not help you much, as i like both tbh I find old school stuff more interesting tho which is why i kinda prefer Skyrim, and i think its a lot more impressive with the use of dragons and that, as well as nature & snow etc Edit: Aug 06, 12 7:56pm
