Andre says a lot of things. He said he was happy with our strikers a few days before we signed Ade, he said Dawson would be our captain for the season a few days before we accepted a bid from QPR. We'll sign Moutinho and Lloris.

I don't think Llorente's that impossible an ask. He's at a point of no return at Bilbao now, we've shown interest in him before, he was set to go to Juventus but that seems to have died (especially as Juventus moved on to Berbatov and Bendtner). If no one else comes in I reckon we could use the money we get from Rafa leaving and secure him. Ade could always go on the right side of a 4-3-3 as he frequently did anyway last year, or we could always go to a 4-3-1-2 with Dembele behind the pair.

Maybe I'm just optimistic.

I'd hate to see him go but it's looking likely. Whilst I hate to look at it like this if we get £20m for a player who's nearly 30 who can't finish a game that's good business. It's sad but probably quite likely.

I still think it's not wise that we're losing 3/4 of our most influential and best players but if we're replacing them with Dembele, Moutinho, Vertonghen and anyone else we bring in over the next 30 hours we've done well.

Thought we'd moved past him. Unsure what I think about him tbh, it makes sense to have goals from either side but Remy just seems like he'd cost an arm and a leg.

not meaning this as a dig but who is it who's linked with a 20 million move for vdv? seems as a hell of a lot of money for him imo

Hamburg and Schalke have been linked with him most recently, I've not heard 20 million though.

Don't agree with that all and I love Rafa. Llorente is just so good.

Pessimism in me feels as though I shouldn't expect anything tomorrow, as we've been here before.
