He came back from injury and barely played. When he did, he played well, got a few assists and a goal or two in the few games he played iirc but was constantly dropped. Exactly same as keane. This was at the time when Lucas was absolutely terrible iirc.

He'd been out for 6-7 months or something before making his debut for us and with his injury record at Roma and being rushed back, Rafa clearly didn't want to rush him back like he was at Roma. 	Think he can play in any attacking midfield role, and has two feet of similar quality. Even if he was to play on the wing, it's a winger we probably need.

We offered £30m, Llambias laughed it off because he knew we were going to get loads for Torres, we asked Chelsea to pay £50m and then offered you lot £35m. Carroll was always going to be £15m less than the figure we got for Torres. We basically replaced Torres and Babel with Carroll and Suarez in the end.
