	Yeah, it's bleeped. Managed to get onto the Vaio recovery centre thing so restoring to factory settings in the hope that that solves it.

	Trying to boot via CD to reinstall Windows doesn't work as I get an error when it tries to load. "Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. 	Does sound like the hard drive, as always Exonerate is probably most likely to know. Also seemed to remember Danny suggesting Sennheisers for headphones so picked up a pair for £30. Amazing quality. 	Doing some hard drive diagnostics test on it to see if that shows anything up. If i knew for certain then I'd buy a new hard drive now but don't want to waste money just in case it's not At 4% in and so far 40 errors have been detected. Yep i think it may be the hard drive!

	If it was properly bleeped and I couldn't do that. Loaded a hard drive test onto the CD and booted from that, ran the test and fixed the errors, then windows did some start up repair thing and it was fixed.
