Best first move for AVB is to ask Ledders to take up a coaching role alongside him. It'll give him a #2 man who knows the squad and has great leadership and respect among them, as well as giving King a way to make a week-in week-out impact on player morale which we currently only get when he's fit (ie, not often)

Talk of chasing Sturridge, Moutinho and even Higuain (yes please) as well as the ongoing Vertonghen saga, as well as vague rumours about investment, so I can see a buying Summer over a selling one. If we get Vertonghen, Moutinho and a solid striker then we'll come back stronger, Modric or not.

Exciting times for now, holding any predictions until September 1st though.

okay then, why would Spurs even bother "chasing" Higuain?
