	An "ITK" on Twitter. We'll know in a few days for sure though. Another guy I know (who I definitely trust) has said that we're actively trying to get rid of Downing, possibly on loan. Also, confirmed transfer information about Borini: http://www.asroma.it/pdf/corporate/operazioni_di_mercato/13-7-2012_BORINI.pdf. £10.4m in 3 instalments and a maximum of £780k in bonuses.

	Everyone seen this shite about andy off to the toon again? Don't send him on loan! Especially to our now rivals (let's face it) . I like him and I think he has the potential to be a great player, he may not be a tiki-taka kinda of footballer but I hope rodgers gives him a chance, loaning him is just brainless . ------------------- It is better to die standing than live on your knees.

	loaning a player you can't potentially sell on for without making too much of a loss i.e £25m isn't brainless. if he was to go on loan to say, west ham and score 15 league goals and help them finish mid table his value would still be nearer the £20m mark, young, english targetman starting to hit the back of the net. however, that said i hope we keep him, i like him and think he can be good given a good run in the team and having people backing him and giving him confidence. the new season is always exciting, new players coming in who inevitably have their best football elsewhere then come to anfield and spectacularly fail, but with a new manager who wants to play football and has backup plans for when things are going wrong, not like queen kenny and his boring style of play with no plans whatsoever, I'm optimistic. Not to mention the fact that we need a plan B anyway so we should keep him. Do you really think Carroll will be happy as a plan B? He just won't fit into Rodgers' style of play. He was good at the end of last season but his movement is still poor. Rodgers will want a front three with good movement with the ability to interchange. Carroll will never be able to do that. Rodgers seems to have a degree of stubbornness about him which I like. -------------------
