My knowledge of Debuchy is also limited to the little of him I saw at the Euros, where he looked pretty good going forward, but I didn't get to know how solid he is defensively. So sure, if we sign him, he'll be a massive improvement over Simpson when we have possession, but could that adventurous nature be an issue over the more conservative nature of Simpson, even if the latter does have flaws in both aspects of game? And there's the fact that on the other flank, Santon is pretty attacking too.

De Jong I know as good as nothing of, so I have no idea if he's likely to be the next big thing from the Eredivisie, or the next big flop.

Lots of (twatter) rumours doing the rounds that we're set to bring in Hoilett and shiteseats has stated the club's booked someone in for a medical tamara. Hardly going to say no to Hoilett on a free, provided he doesn't kick up a fuss for not being first choice.

Hoilett would be a great free signing.

Where's Douglas from? He plays CB I think I saw, a right back should be our priority and then CB after that so any defender would be a good addition

Been saying we should do our utmost to sign Hoilett on a free this summer for months now. As much as I'd love it to be true, I just can't see him choosing us ahead of other clubs who will undoubtedly be after him.

Hoilett and Ben Arfa in the same team just sounds crazy to me

The way I look at it if you have 3 forwards then the centre mids would cover so it wont be a problem. Should have the holding midfielder, a box to box and the forward minded player in that 3.

To be fair on Ben Arfa, he's not completely irresponsible from a defensive point of view. Competence is a different matter, so I think that line-up would need two tactically defensive midfielders in the engine room, with the one, likely Cabaye, given more license to join the attack.
