Not at all. Good maybe be a good (har har) prospect, but he's still young. And so we'd still have the issue of only having Coloccini (who is awesome), Taylor (who finally seems to be coming good, but is more than a little injury prone), and Williamson (who is okay as a last resort, but isn't good enough for anything more). I suppose you could also count Perch, but he's in the same boat as Williamson, at least as far as centre-back goes.

We have loads of players able to play right-back already, but Debuchy is a step up on pretty much all of them. There's Simpson, Raylor, Perch and Tavernier who are all no less a right-back that any other position they might be able to play. Santon can also play there, but it seems we're gonna be keeping him on the left.

So that goes back to Good, who would be coming in as our only true left-sided defender. Raylor is obviously also right-sided, and although there is Ferguson, he should be used more at left-midfield than at the back, from what I've seen.

nowadays I'm a bit 'well if we don't get him there's always someone else' regarding transfers, but I really really want Debuchy, think he's a top player from what I've saw and would fit us perfectly

Thought that at first, as the saga has gone on though, doesn't appear to be that clear cut.

Anyway, we came ahead of Inter, and in a better league as well, his decision is obvious
