How exactly do you expect a "record crowd"? You do realise these places have capacities of 2-3k which have been filled many times before. There's more likely to be record Division 3 crowds at Ibrox, or Hampden for Queens Park away.

Good to see the rules applied properly. Now the SFA should concentrate on punishing the club for the last 10-15 years of cheating (should, of course, they be found guilty of the dual-contracts). If they want to claim the SFA membership and history then they will take the punishments attached to the old club.

It will be interesting to see how Newco/Rangers get on. Remember Gretna had a huge financial advantage over the other clubs in their leagues and although they did achieve straight promotions the last went down to a few points so they will still need to do more than just turn up.

On the first point, i really can't see the police allowing team to play us in their wee stadiums. I can see them having to play in nearer, bigger, safer stadiums or even Ibrox. This will also give hundreds of lower league players the chance to play at a stadium like Ibrox infront of tens of thousands of fans.

And i am glad you put in should we be found guilty of dual contracts.

I'm glad everyone now knows where we stand, everyone(Bar Dundee and Dunfermline) can now move on and focus to the future. Talk will be about football soon, even though thats very hard to believe...

Due to the fact it came from Macleod77 I'd say it was pretty much certainly serious.

How dare those clubs make "rarangurs" play in these places! What an idiot.Do you not think Rangers have played in most of these places before in cups?

A few thousand is still ten times as many as the teams we'll be playing. I think a similar effect will happen in the SPL - attendances will increase at first, but as the novelty of an SPL without Rangers wears off and Celtic run away with it they will decline back to usual levels.

I don't think there will be any issue with us playing in smaller stadiums - as you say we play teams away in cups at tiny grounds. We should be treated the same as any third division team.
