Euro 2012 pools - Table up in first post!

Rules

Rules will be a little different to rectify playing on neutral ground, post your name below if you would like to enter this year and here are the rules for any new-comers:

2 points for a favourites win
3 points for an underdog win
4 points for a draw

The underdog will be the team the odds are against at the bookies. For example, if in Poland vs Greece, if Poland were 6/4 and Greece were 2/1, Poland would be the favourites and Greece the underdogs. The team that are favourites will always be listed first in the fixtures.

You are also allowed the use of one JOKER per fixture list that I announce. If you use it and your prediction is correct, then your points for that match are doubled. This is obviously trickier than it is within the Premier League pools as the fixture lists are more regular. I have decided that you will get one JOKER for matchday 1, another for matchday 2, then another for match day 3. and one each for the quarter and semi finals.

Example

Poland vs. Greece JOKER

If that prediction was correct, you would score 3 points for an underdog win and because you used your JOKER, your total points awarded would be 6.

All predictions must be posted prior to kick-off.

If for any reason you are unable to participate on any particular gameday (IE: holiday's etc), yet you still wish to post your predictions, just let me know via PM and I will give you the fixtures in advance.

I will post each fixture list, starting with all of the groups' first 2 fixtures (the first 8 games of the tournament), after each set of games is played I shall then post the next two fixtures (ie after Poland vs. Greece and Russia vs. Czech Rep. on matchday 1 I shall then post the next 2 fixtures in that group, and so on). Hopefully this goes some way towards remedying the problem of people not having enough time between games to post their predictions.

Predictions can not be edited after the first match kicks off on that particular set of fixtures - If predictions are edited all predictions will become void.

Don't see any reason why not. I was thinking, to combat there no longer being extra points for an away win, how about I make what would be the away team, the team that the bookmakers are backing the least? Would use the same bookies everytime to be consistent.

Right, here we go then. Decided I'm going to go with the away team being the team with the less favourable odds at the bookies, so it follows the EPL Pools in that 2 points for a home win, 3 for an away win, and 4 for a draw. The home team (ie the one the bookies predict will win), will always be listed first.

Everyone has one joker for those round of fixtures, hopefully everything is clear enough. Used William Hill for the odds, aside from the England v France game, which they were equal for, a quick scout round other sites had England as favourites though.
