Friday night will be fine, as busy as ever. Well you have the docks to walk around which should be nice. Have dinner in the Pump House on the docks (the only pub there). Hmm, gotta go see Matthew Street I suppose to see the Cavern. Perhaps go back there Wednesday or Thursday night when there should be some live music on. L1 is pretty nice for your shopping, even the Met Quarter if you're a chav! D: St Georges Hall is pretty cool as well if you happen to walk by it. Quite a few decent museums around too if you're into that kind of thing (Liverpool, World, Beatles, Maritime, Slavery musems). Suppose the cathedrals are worth a look, Liver Buildings too.

Like lfc2004 said though, it's a pretty small city centre, so just go walk around it, you can't get lost.

Let me know closer the time what kind of night you want and I can point you in the direction of student bars, shite dance music stuff or old man boozers etc. Same goes for food and that, quite a few really nice restaurants around
