Only in England would fans be happy to see the back of someone with Fabio Capello's CV and replace him with someone like that. He's turned average clubs into semi-successful clubs. He's produced the reality of what Fulham fans could only dream. With his tight budget he turned them from an average team into a European team and was unlucky not to win the final. Even West Brom, they were a yoyo team, constantly up and down. Hodgson has stabilized them and turned them into a Premier League club. He's by far the best English manager since Sir Bobby, and his experience proves it.

	The front page of The Sun is designed straight away to undermine him, already he's a figure of fun to them. I'd love Roy to be a success, merely so he can be pictured with the Euro 2012 trophy in one hand and the other sticking two fingers up to the Sun and all the other gutter journos.

	redknapp gets a free ride from the media for sure but he really isn't getting enough credit from joe public, hes well above an average manager and whats so outlandish to suggest he would've been the best man for the job? obviously he has his flaws (football wise and personality) like any other manager, but when we've done well as a club people still get on the mans back he's done far more than 'one good season' with tottenham aswell. gimme a bleeping break, i know an average manager when i see one, i know a crap manager because we've gone through em by the handful but i know when we've actually got a good manager in charge taking us in the right direction because of the southern-media centric love in harry gets it seems your everyday person refuses to give him credit. if we beat every team 10-0 next season he'd be the 'lucky saggy faced wheeler dealer tax dodging prick' i've already said roy is the right choice and is a very good manager i'm taking nothing away from him but get real. i dont like alot of people in football but im realistic enough to not let personal feelings get in the way. you'll probably think its just a biased old spurs fan but look at the gip i've give redknapp myself, especially lately, i'm just trying to be honest and balance it out, if harrys an average lucky manager or w/e how many good managers do we actually have in the country? 4, 5, 6? ------------------- Human beings in a mob What's a mob to a king? Remember where Spurs were when Harry took them over, bottom of the league and he's taken them to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and with a game to go, a chance of the Champions League again. Ox, Johnson, Theo, Sturridge and Rooney are hardly slow? Even Agbonlahor if we are set to play a certain way. I would say Hodgson resembles something close to Bobby Robson and Redknapp to Keegan. The experience of international football at many levels makes Hodgson a better and the right candidate IMO. As underdogs in this tournament, as well put by wba_4_eva and Michael Cox, we can't afford expansive football. Hodgson gets teams overachieving with methodical and drilled intelligence. That is why he is a more suitable candidate at this time. That't not to say Redknapp doesn't have some better qualities though. I just hope he is brave enough to make his own squad and cast off anyone who clearly isn't on board with his ideologies.

	Well of course, we could put any old runners in there. I can't see Ox, Johnson, Theo or Sturridge all making the line up. Infact I'd be surprised to see them all go. Don't mention Agbonlahor though please. My point was more to Hodgson's usual style of play, of course he could mix it up though and has the players at his disposal.
