Hes not on a pay as you play deal. He was released originally because he wouldnt accept one. Then the owl and Purslow gave him a new deal. While in the process letting a young, promising left back go (Insua). Awful business.

Don't really know what to say about last night. Think I'll start by thanking God I didn't pay for my ticket.

Just *bleep*ing awful. Not a big of urgency, heart, fight, class anything about them. Shelvey had a go and Coates came out of it not stinking as bad as the others. Sterling woke the crowd up, but what's he getting from 15 minutes? Give him half an hour, an hour, 90 minutes. What have you got to lose?

All I can say is I really hope that that was the last game in red for a lot of those players. Kuyt, Maxi, Aurelio. It felt a little like his testimonial actually. Just less competitive.

Only Doni stopped it being about 5-0.

The crowd was *bleep*ing abysmal too. Hope that wakes the club up. You cannot keep charging £40+ a ticket to watch that. You end up with 40,000 sat in silence. Although a small bunch in the lower centenary were class. Singing "Kopites are gobshites" and "you only sing when you're winning" at the Kop.

I know all that matters is Saturday, but no Liverpool at any level should ever put in that kind of performance no matter what.

Oh and I walked past Alan Hansen, he's massive!

To reflect on last night;

Doni had a surprisingly very good game. Unlucky for the goal but made a great stop to deny Dempsey.

Kelly was shite. Far too many times when he tried to cross it early and it ended up nowhere near Carroll.

Coates did alright. His distribution needs working on but he dealt with Kacaniklic well when he had to, and he nailed Riise which was hilarious.

Škrtel looked like his old self without Agger. Unlucky for the goal, freak incident.

Aurelio. If his body didn't despise itself he'd be first choice left back. Even in this state he's better than Enrique.

Spearing is one of the worst passers of a football I've ever seen. Half decent game but not worthy of being in the squad on Saturday.

Henderson is struggling atm. At the turn of the year he was awesome but since Gerrard came back he's looked lost.

Shelvey looked like he was going to make a difference sometimes. Should have scored. Played a stunning ball out to Dirk though, good range.

Kuyt needs to go.

Carroll looked like he wanted a goal, and he could have gotten one. Good game given the circumstances and the shit he had supplying him.

Maxi needs to go. When he does get the rare start he does nothing of it.

Sterling came on and was better than both Kuyt and Maxi in just 15 minutes. Two quality crosses and some good direct running.

Downing looks fat. I wanted him to do well but he's just wasting space on the pitch now.

Jose Enrique was never the man to bring on. Why not Robbo? He offered nothing. Can't cross, can't run with the ball, can't defend and can barely pass.

Last night, seeing Kacaniklic tearing our right side apart reminded me of what Hodgson did to us. Paul Konchesky for Alex and Dalla Valle lmao. Nice to see Kerim Frei play though, think he's a hell of an exciting young player.

No ones denying he made shit signings and bad mistakes at Liverpool.

Hodgson will rightly get criticism but Christian Purslow should take a lot of blame too.

Also, we'll get beat tonight in one of two ways, a spirited late defeat that is completely draining, or get humped about 5-0. Either way it's defeat, was reasonably hopeful the other day, all changed now though.
