Problem with the idea of Podolski on the right wing is how good is his right foot? Cos honestly, players in Germany have it so much easier cutting inside onto their stronger foot. Look at Robben, Ribery (sorry don't watch much Bundesliga lols). Then look at those types of players here; Downing, Johnson. You could say Sturridge too.

Point is such players aren't as successful over here.

Yeah I gathered, didn't need to tag. Well I'm just saying those types of players don't have immense success here.

Not sure what type of player Podolski is but if he was being deployed that way then I'd suggest he'd turn out the same way.

Robben hardly flopped over here. Got a move to Madrid out of it after all. Then you have Nani and Ashley Young. Adam Johnson has never been short of a good performance when given a game. Robert Pires, did he play left wing? Didn't do too bad. Again, for a striker, Sturridge hasn't done bad either. Probably others I'm forgetting too.

The Bundesliga stuff was the best though. "Not that I watch it or anything, but it's dead easy to cut inside over there. Just look at two successful players."

Podolski can play right across the front, can be a clever player, but too head down for me. I think he'll be very hit and miss. Score a hat-trick against QPR then go missing against Utd. I think LuisGarciaisgod has seen a lot of him?

g_lfc I know I'm not looking at myself as knowledgeable on it at all. I'm just saying, at least in Robben's case, they're predictable and with better players (not suggesting PL left backs are better, before you flip) they could be stopped. More importantly, they're better than Podolski.
