Ibrahimovic didn't work at Barca because a big part of their tactics is that their front players and midfielders press the opposition defence and stop them from building attacks. That's not Zlatan's game at all.
As for Bale at full-back, could work but would leave them a bit open you'd imagine with two such attacking full-backs. But it would certainly be great to watch. Dani Alves was one of the best buys Barcelona have ever done, he may be a nob but he was one of the final pieces of the puzzle, gives them so much offensively.
Ibra looks like a shrewd piece of business when compared to Chygrynsky, one of the worst deals in football history surely?
€25million. 8 starts. Sold after one season, to his old club, for €15million.
Barca essentially loaned him for €10million and barely played him.
------------------- The best thing, though, in that museum was that everything always stayed right where it was. Nobody’d move. . . . Nobody’d be different. The only thing that would be different would be you.
Decided to do both Real Madrid and City's transfers since 08/09 since I was bored waiting for Raw lol. I think the City one's correct, although I'm tired so it might be wrong and miscalculated lol. Madrid's in Euros ofc, City in pounds.
err and 2 and a half excellent seasons domestically?
teams double up on him and he still regularly plays a 7/8 out of 10 pretty much every week snm
i dont get all this '2 good games' against inter bollocks, people are blind, before we even qualified for the champions league the same people writing him off were probably calling him the brightest young talent in the country
the mans what 22/23 years old, no one calls him world class anyway, he isn't world class but will be by the time he's 25, people have merely said he's capable of world class performances and they're correct cos i've seen it right in front of me
you know what the problem is this country gets bored with flavour of the month, tosses him in the litter and writes him off, moves onto next one, fawns for 6 months, writes off, rinse, repeat. trust me in 2014 we'll all be sitting here saying yeovil should sign jack wilshere because that way he'll have found his level
------------------- Human beings in a mob What's a mob to a king? What's a king to a god? What's a god to a non-believer? Who don't believe in anything?
After the hattrick against Inter everyone was linking him with big teams for big money, that was stupid after one good game. But yeah he's proved he can play well most of the time so I wouldnt be surprised if he joined Barca or Madrid
------------------- Life's a bitch and then you die, that's why we get high
I can't stand him and think he has too many games where he faded away, but in five years defences are gonna react to seeing him on the teamsheet that they do with the likes of Ronaldo now. Very quick, skilful and direct player.
