This Gaitan to Utd story seems to have gone off a boil. Every paper reported it was going to happen with him arriving in the summer then Utd come out and deny it. Its almost similar to the De Gea stories.

The way the papers went apeshit over it a month or so ago makes me think it might be in the pipeline, signed and sealed with the formalities to do in May-June.

Was always gonna go at some point, if not in this window then it would definitely happen in the summer. Think we're letting him go too cheap though, January is meant to be when teams are desperate and pay over the odds, sort it out Everton, be desperate.

And I agree, we won't sign a striker, not one that we'll spend money on anyway. Healy lone striker until Lafferty's back fit? Oh goody.

It's a shame we never got to see what he could really do in Europe for us, but cheers for all the goals and those 7 minutes in Kilmarnock big man.

Faddy? If he's not injured he's unfit, he's not scored a goal for yonks and every game I watch him I'm left repeatedly shouting "pass it you mongo" at the tv, before he tries to skin a fourth player, subsequently losing the ball.

Sounds perfect, he can be yet another disappointment.

I think you're right. I don't remember any big deals being done until the last few days. Here's me hoping we sign a striker, but the odds aren't very good.

Completely true, but leave Faddy alone! We're actually willing to give him away apparently. Getting shown up by Tamworth didn't help him very much. :<
