Hasn't Suarez admitted to saying 'negrito'? I thought that the main debate was whether that was seen as racist or not. It was seen as a racist slur by an independent body. Case closed?

It's like an endless cycle

It seems unfair to me though that these three people probably had absolutely no idea of the connotations the 'slur' could have. A remark not seen as racist in any of the countries Suarez has played in (including this one) is not racist. Evra probably didn't even understand it. Probably heard 'neg' and thought it was a racial slur.

I'd imagine Suarez probably said 'calm down, mate' and used negrito there. We'd have to see. The Spanish word for *bleep* is negro tbf, but that doesn't seem to be what he was saying. No aggression or anything. It seemed an off the cuff remark which was he was just making as a way of stopping Evra from making a scene, ironically.
